An erect shrub with smallpink or white flowers, Blueberry (Vaccinium corymbosum) is native toNorth America and is now harvested throughout Europe. It bears large,smooth skinned berries that turn to a deep purple as they mature.

Blueberries grow in clusters and are availablefrom July to September. They are often used in jam, juice, compote andare also suitable for fruit salads and pastry fillings.
